Abu Dhabi · Product & AI practice
AI products people actually use.
You have the ambition and the data. Too often, what comes out is a product nobody uses. I help you decide what should exist before it gets built, then build enough to prove it.

MeGood. Now in front of the analyst, with real data.

MeShow me one. That's the next build.
How the work runs ›The three shapes an engagement takes, in one room: at the desks, in front of leadership, and at the build table with your team. What each one gives you.
Point of view
AI made execution cheaper. It didn’t make judgment cheaper.
The bottleneck moved upstream: finding the right problem, deciding what should exist at all, knowing which evidence to trust, and making the product fit how people actually work. That is where I work.
The hard part isn’t the demo, prototype, interface, AI model, roadmap, data lake, or deadline. It’s knowing what not to build.
That point of view comes down to eight rules. Break the mark and take one.
How I work
Watch the work. Find the decision. Then build enough to prove it.
The order is ordinary. Step 02 is the one that matters — most projects are won or lost on whether anyone found the real problem before the building started. More on the studio page.
Ways of working
Three shapes an engagement takes. At the desks, in front of leadership, or at the build table.
Two of these come fixed — a two-week readiness assessment and a six-week working prototype. Both on the studio page.
- 01
Embedded in your team
I join the team and work alongside them — research, design, decisions, and often the build itself. Best when there is already a team and it needs a senior pair of hands rather than another report.
- Typical
- Two to six months
- You get
- A shipped product, and a team that works differently afterwards
- 02
Advising your leadership
I work with the people making the call — what to fund, what to stop, what the product should actually be. Best when the direction is contested and the wrong answer is expensive.
- Typical
- Two to eight weeks
- You get
- A decision the room can act on, and the evidence behind it
- 03
Research and assessment
I go to the people doing the work, find out what actually happens, and bring it back. Best when a product exists and nobody can say why it is not landing.
- Typical
- Three to six weeks
- You get
- What is really wrong, and what to fix first
The name
Werk is German for factory. Not a romantic place.
Things get made to spec, on a schedule, and measured afterwards. That is the standard I hold this work to — which is why the things on this site are labelled with what is real and what is not.
Who runs it
One person, named. You deal with me directly.
I’m Yusuf Algan. More than a decade of product work — Shopify, eBay, Tajawal, DaWanda — and now product and AI work in the Gulf. There is no one else to deal with. The full record is at yusufalgan.com.
