What helps
You don’t need a brief. A paragraph on what you’re trying to make, roughly when you need it, and who it’s for is enough to start. Most useful of all: what people are doing today instead, and why it isn’t working.
If it isn’t something this practice should take on, I’ll say so and try to point you somewhere better.
I reply to everything, usually within two working days. Monday to Friday, UAE time.
